Outstanding value, service with a smile, shopping there is an absolute delight.
The store does attract some unsavoury characters (see my Wilkinson review). If long queues are forming at the checkouts, then Home Bargains can be a very frustrating store to be trapped inside of. You will become distressed by the sheer stupidity and lack of knowledge of a number of their patrons.
Everyday branded comestibles at knock down prices is the motto of Home Bargains. I honestly "double take" at some of the prices you see: Smirnoff Ice Black bottles 69p a throw, Pringles Nacho Cheese "dippers" 49p a tin, you can't fall off can you? Our lass gets these flavoured waters with a sports cap for next to nowt and you can get all your toiletries on the cheap too. I stocked up on loads of Bounty cake bars and bags of Hula Hoops(10p a bag). Our lass and I can often struggle to spend 20 bar in our local shop. The store does stock clothing too but I wouldn't recommend them, best left to the characters mentioned in my bad points!! I would also give the toys and games a wide berth too. I am fearful that the products stocked will end up on some consumer watchdog show, maybe showcasing a doll with a nail were it's head should be. I would recommend Home Bargains to anyone for snacks, alcohol and toiletries. Value for money, good store layout, impressive service. Great stuff.
