Superbly built, well balanced. Like having a best quality English shotgun, without taking out a mortgage.

My AYA No.2 Side-by-side 12 bore was bought by my uncle in the early seventies. It cost him just over £100 new. It is basically a copy of a Holland and Holland Royal. It has 28" barrels choked improved cylinder and half. It handles like a dream, just right for walked up game or rough shooting. Being relatively light, at just under 7 pounds, it is more suited to instinctive shooting, such as a rabbit bolting from a bush, or a pheasant or woodcock suddenly appearing from cover. It is not suited to clay shooting, it is an out and out live quarry gun. The double triggers have crisp pulls, and the hand detachable locks make maintenance easy. The only modification I have made is a slip-on leather covered hand-guard for the barrels. They now retail at something like £2500-3000, which is still a bargain. Pity we can't make affordable quality like this in the UK.
