The location of the Hotel was definitely a plus.
Bad Points
The poor food badly lets down the Hotel.
General Comments
Having stopped in the Cala Gran on half board basis, we were forced to eat out for 6 of the 7 nights as the meal times and the choices of food were so bad. The general appearance of the hotel is not too bad, the bathrooms in the section we were staying in could do with abit of TLC however. The pool areas are alright, however I would not recommend taking a toddler as they are very cold and deep (although there is a seperate pool near the apartments that is shallow it was the coldest pool by far). Cala D'or as a resort was good with numerous bars, restaurants (meals cost between £30 and £40 for a family) and shops catering for every taste. The beach though small is clean and tidy and the sea was lovely.
Would I recommend the holiday ?
Yes, but to be on the safe side and to benefit from the extras I would probably go to the apartments on site on a self catering basis.
