Good Points

We have nothing but high praise for this hotel, its staff and the Thomson Gold team. It was a delightful stay and the staff and Thomson folk were all very helpful. The hotel is older than many, but we thought this added to its charm and sophistication. The entertainment and reps were fabulous. We had a great time, and the trips arranged by the reps were very good and well priced. We were there to chill out from pressures at home and they ensured we had a great time and relaxed during our holiday - which we did.


Bad Points

Nothing. Only seeing the unnecessarily negative reports some folk give this place. It's great at the El Tope and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.


General Comments

Puerto De La Criz is great, and much nicer than the south of the island, so lush and green and has a lot more character to it. I've read some rather negative reports about the Gran Hotel El Tope and the entertainment. All I can say is that everyone we spoke with during our stay had nothing but praise for the hotel, its staff and all the entertainers. We hope to go there again.
