Good Points

The staff are very friendly, and this has guaranteed our return for our 4th stay this November.


Bad Points

The lift is a death trap but manageable. When booking, try and request rooms on the 6th, 7th or 8th floor, as there are not a lot of steps to climb.


General Comments

Myself and my husband stayed here on our honeymoon in 2004. Not only were the staff extremely helpful when I was taken ill with food poisoning (not from hotels food may I add), but they were friendly and a good laugh. In the 3 times I have stayed at these apartments, upon request they have been loyal and kept us in the same room for two of these trips, so that I could have a private balcony. (The odd number floors have open balconies, and as I found out, people can invade them).

The Blue Star Apartments in Puerto Rico are within rolling distance from the Europa Centre (believe me I know), and in the whole time I have stayed in Gran Canaria, I have only seen 3 cockroaches (that's one per trip). Cockroaches are a species which inhabit The Canaries, and although it looks unhygienic, they really only inhabit clean places, and there is not really a lot you can do about them. If you don't like them, don't go anywhere hot, ever!

This hotel is a clean and pleasant place to spend a trip. They have air conditioned rooms, which all look out on to a stunning view of the ocean, and there are not a lot of hotels in Puerto Rico that face the sea at this great location.
