Good Points

When we bought this, we were told it is Packard Bell's first attempt at using dual core processing. I have found that the processor is fast and efficient. The GeForce graphics card that came with it is fantastic for game playing, which is ultimately what we wanted it for. It came with a huge memory and hard drive, so price wise it was worth paying that bit more in comparison to other laptops on the market.

Bad Points

The battery doesn't last very long at all. In fact, I get fed up with the alert saying switch to alternative power immediately. This is a pain when you are in the middle of something or not able to access a power point. It is heavy and quite large in size. Although I wouldn't refer to it as bulky, I just wouldn't rate it for a commuter or student having to carry it over a long distance. The touch pad took a while to adjust to, as the cursor seemed to prefer dancing around as opposed to going where you were trying to put it. We struggle with this when online more than anything else.

General Comments

Overall, I am very pleased with the Packard Bell Easynote MV51-120 laptop computer. It is, I believe one of the top laptops on the market for the price range of £600 - £800. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't come with much software. I was disappointed that I would have to buy an Office Suite on top of the price of the laptop. I would recommend it to a friend, but I would advise them to shop around before purchase to ensure they find the best price for it. We paid £699, but we found it at £649 elsewhere. Not much difference I know, but it is the difference between buying extras for it or not (such as the laptop case or optical mouse etc).
