The Gamo Pro Magnum pellets are only good for general plinking. Out here we shoot tough critters like Prairie Dogs and Marmots. Gamo pros lack the punch to do the job cleanly.

GAMO Pro Magnums were designed for smaller critters than prairie dogs and marmots. I agree that they lack the punch for those. This is where a heavier pellet would be appropriate. As for plinking, yes they serve the purpose admirably, as well as for hunting rats and the like. They also work extremely well on poisonous snakes, having dispatched several of them with a low powered air rifle (Diana mod. 24), pushing under 600 fps.
