Bad Points

Heavy on fuel, 26 mpg most of the time and parts are not cheap!

General Comments

I've owned this Peugeot 206 2.0 GTi car since last September and I have since covered 25,000 miles driving all over England. It's a lot of fun to drive. It has power to offer and handling to match. The interior is very smart with the half leather and the lay out of the car is ideal. The car comes as standard with responsive wipers, auto headlights and a 6 disc boot changer with controller on the steering column, air con and climate control. What ever you could possibly need has been placed at your fingertips in this car, it is fantastic.
The car's suspension is quite hard due to the nature of the car's sporty design, this gives good handling on flat roads but on bumpy surfaces you notice the uneven surface a lot. The car accelerates to 60 mph in just a little over 8 seconds and that's standard. I've added nothing to the engine. It does have a strong thirst for fuel no matter how I drive it, I seem to get through a lot and I'm told by a mechanic that it's normal. At current fuel prices it's worth considering before you buy one.
The car will only demist itself with the climate control on, don't know why this is but it's no real problem. I have found exhausts and brakes to be quite expensive for this car. Not much else has gone wrong with it so I think for the fun it's given, it's good value.
