Good Points

Very very quick for a 50CC!!!! 45-50mph easy!!!!!

Bad Points

Many of them are taken off the road to use as off road bikes and it takes a lot to put them right after.

General Comments

I brought 2 Suzuki TS50 X 50cc's, 1 was a 1996, and the other was a 1999. I am now riding the 1999. I brought my bike about a year before my birthday for around £200. (You might think that cheap but believe me that the bike was in no fit state for the road). I striped it totally and re-sprayed the frame. Bought the real barrel and piston kit which is 41mm. Brand New!!. If you have a new barrel and piston then make sure you run it in because it could become costly if you do not! I can say that if you do run it in, then in the end it gives you the best performance. And also I would recommend that you do not have a K&N on while you are running in because it pulls your power up to top end and for running in you do not want that. Try to keep it as standard as you can. I have been riding my bike for over a month now and believe me, the rev and go, you will beat anyone of them and can also keep you with 125's around corners. I have my bike with the standard barrel and piston on and the performance is great. The good thing with the ts50's are they are big. Geared always helps if you are a new rider, to learn on a geared bike not a rev and go. My ts50 I would recommend to any 16 yr old, they are great fun, easy and very reliable. My bike starts 1st kick every time, no problem. And they are well built so if you did drop it then the most damage you would do is a new clutch or brake leaver. Touch wood, I have never dropped my ts50. The next owner after me will be a very very happy owner. Can't think what else to say other than you will not believe how good they are till you get one. The only problem is they are very hard to come by a good one.

I have also found out that the cast iron head has already being ported to get the most performance, and the carb hole should be around 15mm. and with two ported feeding the piston. Any other information I can help you with. please feel free to let me know via the Review Centre forum, and I will happily answer any questions.
