General Comments

Crosman p50. This semi auto pistol isn't the best thing on the block. It looks pretty cool but doesn't perform very well. The hop up system works but it shoots to about 20 yards and sky rockets up. This makes hitting your target a challenge so you often shoot more to finally hit it but with a 16 round clip you run out extremly fast. The blowback is fun to watch but makes the gun loud and sometimes gets stuck. It's a easy fix ( just push it back into place) but it gets annoying over time. Personally i like it. I have learned to accept these problems and improvise. When i play airsoft i use this as a last chance of hope. My gun came with a M70 mini machine gun (see my review), a sticky target, and 800 rounds of ammo all for 30$ at a Dicks Sporting Goods. If your expecting alot dont buy it (or just don't buy electric pistols) go with c02 and get a mini machine gun. Even though i like it, it isn't my sidearm of choice get a spring pistol instead they shoot harder and more accuratly and you tend not to kill your ammo supply. Hope this review helps please send feedback and comments.

I think the idea behind the hop-up was to make the pistol effective at skirmish distances, which is a laugh. I have to ask, have you had a failure yet? I suspect the sliding compression chambers return spring stud will snap (it's only some .09mm thick!). This is how 3 of my pistols failed, and my last one just stopped shooting. I think the gearbox is skewed. Oh, and if it does end up breaking, you can use the inner and outer barrel. With some inspiration, I'm sure you could put the barrel assembly into a fake suppressor to make it heavier, and give whatever gun you are using a little more power.

My second gun broke down a month or two ago. I learned that by taking off the plastic piece that created the blowback if taken off, makes your gun automatic. After field stripping it, I realized that a plastic part that held a spring in place came off, but it still worked regardless of the destroyed spring. After I fixed it with a screw drilled in the gun, I found that it now shot 2 at a time, and shot about 5 feet. The gun still worked like it always did, but I found a little black rubber piece that holds the BB in place until it is shot out. Therefore, that is why it doesn't shoot. I would rather have a spring pistol that has the power to kill a bird. Even so, I use a pellet gun which has much better range and accuracy. Overall, I don't recommend the Crosman Pulse P50 to anyone, as it isn't that good.

Yep, that would be the hop-up. You don't really mean to kill with an airsoft pistol, do you? I find them just barely adequate for bug busting, and that would be with the real gas pistols.

Haha. With my Delta Colt Elite pistol and heavy bb's, it can down a finch from about 20 feet. But I use my Beeman 1783 Silver Bear (see review) for most birds.

However, since I want an airsoft gun that uses magazines instead of a clip, I think something along the lines of the Crosman Pulse P50 would work.
