Good Points

This is an album which demonstrates extreme musical talent. Composed after the tragic death of bassist Cliff Burton, ...And Justice For All is the most complex and sophisticated of Metallica's albums and easily one of the best. James's vocals have developed alot since MOP. The album has the best lyrics of any Metallica album.

Bad Points

The production has come under much criticism through the fact that the bass is barely audible throughout. Besides this, the album is practically flawless.

General Comments

This album is in my opinion the most underrated Metallica album. It contains great songs like the others, people just like to slander it because they find it hard to believe that the band could produce something this great without Cliff and his death being so recent. The band explore issues about a corrupt and poisoned society. It sees Metallica release their first music video for the song 'One'.
1. Blackened (6:38) - This is a heavy and dark song which is excellent. 5/5
2. And Justice For All (9:43) - The self titled song is complex and great sounding. Worth the time. 5/5
3. Eye Of The Beholder (6:28) - Is a heavy and catchy tune with great lyrics. Nice title as well. 4/5
4. One (7:24) - This is easily the song of the album and arguably Metallica's best song. Great riffs, incredible solos and amazing lyrics. 5/5
5. The Shortest Straw (6:33) - The quality subsides after One but still a solid song. 3/5
6. Harvester Of Sorrow (3:43) - The shortest song ever composed by Metallica and a shame because it sounds great. 5/5
7. The Frayed Ends Of Sanity (7:41) - The most complex song of the album, makes for interesting listening. 4/5
8. To Live Is To Die (9:51) - Is an instrumental dedicated to Cliff Burton. Very good and emotional. 5/5
9. Dyers Eve (5:13) - This song represents insanity and is deranged throughtout. Average. 3/5

Best songs: Blackened, One, And Justice For All, Harvester Of Sorrow
Worst Songs: Dyers Eve, The Shortest Straw
