Good Points

Receive GPS signals very fast, gave me good accuracy even in Central London and most of the time avoided One way/No entry roads. Signal strength is strong and ratio of dropping signal as compared to Tom Tom 500 in central London is less. (I used Central London as in those narrow streets where you really can test these gadgets).

Bad Points

Traffic Module. I live in Slough where this traffic module does not pick up any FM Broadcasts, resulting in no warning about traffic events, but it work in London area and on Motorway M1 all the way from London to Nottingham (other motorways I didn't tried). Battery not as efficient as been told by manufacturer.
Switching between 2D and 3D maps is easy but in 3D you can not use avoid areas etc., hence it is not as easy for a novice or with a little knowledge of computer to fiddle with the software and play with it. If you know how to do it, then it is straight forward.

General Comments

I have used Tom Tom 500 for 6 months and Navman ICN 550 for 9 months I was happier with ICN 520 rather than Tom Tom 500. I upgraded ICN 520 with ICN 550 plus travel module and found it equally good in term of navigation as ICN 520, but traffic module didn't work as up to expectation. After about a month my ICN 550 gave up as it refused to come to life one day, so it is waiting in my cupboard to be replaced or to return for the sum I paid at CostCo (£350).

I still recommend it if unit is not faulty and if someone is not novice at all.
