Good Points

Has excellent battery life; can take 2gb sd cards which means 25 mins of top quality video. Very solidly made metal case, no plastic bits, looks as if it wont fall apart or have bits break off. Images are excellent. Image stabilizer works really well (3 levels available). Good menu system easy to use. Really small. I dont use a movie camera anymore, all is on the Lumix. The wider angle setting on the fx01 is very useful.

Bad Points

Cant zoom while taking a movie, have to stop, zoom and restart. However I've found that zooming while filming is not a good film technique. If you look at movies most directors dont do this. The low light settings (ISO 400) is not as good as some other cameras and this would be useful in museums but you still get good pictures inside.

General Comments

A chap in a camera shop told me this model is not promoted in the UK because Panasonic doesnt offer such good deals to shops. However I think its worth searching it out as it is a really well made robust camera.
