Good Points

Very clear screen
Switchable graphics for speed or stamina
Painless wireless
Very light
Looks very cool


Bad Points

Rattling battery due to bad fit - apparently a common issue.
No disks at all supplied with the unit. You have to write your own recovery partition, and then perform a recovery straight away to reclaim the space, which I forgot to do, so I now either have to rescue and lose all my stuff, or put up with 10Gb (ish) of lost space.
A whole bunch of useless software trials and freeware come pre-installed. It'll take you hours to sort it all out and clean up your start menu.
Sony support brings to mind chocolate teapots and cat flaps in elephant houses.


General Comments

The Sony Vaio VGN-SZ2XP is a very sexy laptop, and I might still buy it again. But the software is a big downer, and you might expect more from a premium laptop.
