Good Points
What you can't explain to anyone that had never owned an Aston Martin is the feeling of the public towards you and your car when you own a DB9. It doesn't seem to make people angry, jealous or mean. People just love it and that adds to your enjoyment. This vehicle is the prettiest car on the road by far. Then there is the engine note. It stirs the heart in my 7 year old son and he often asks me to increase the RPM so it sounds like a racing car. Inside it is so.... words cannot describe the feeling of sophistication, quality etc.
Bad Points
The radio reception is not great, although improved on the 2005 MY. Whilst the 2006 MY comes with blue tooth as standard, using the phone above a crawl with the air con on still sounds rubbish to the other party.
The rear seats are next to useless even for children above aged 6, unless you are shorter than 5'5".
General Comments
The bad points are picky, but aren't enough to stop me owning this, my second DB9. There is no other car on the market that can give you what you get from a DB9. It is the most gorgeous thing on 4 wheels, it is satisfying, and it stirs the child in you. It is everything that Bond has always given the impression an Aston Martin should be. I think all the vintage models, whilst carrying the same cache, failed to provide the real experience that Aston Martin can now provide in the form of a DB9. The experience is priceless, yet very reasonably priced when you compare it with the other super cars.... which in any event would fail on most other counts to provide the same as this car. You're truly smitten. I have not desire to own any other super car now. There is nothing else on the market that stirs my blood as much as this.
