At the time of these recordings, I had mixed feelings as to the worth of my performances and choice of material...So it came as a pleasant surprise to hear these sessions for the first time in 28 years or more
Duffy Power

Duffy Power's passionate and sincere vocals give the impression that he has really lived the blues. His abilities are exposed in raw angst on this release compiling several thought-to-be-lost BBC radio sessions from between 1968 and 1973 plus a bonus from 1994. The earlier sessions feature Alexis Korner, Danny Thompson, Terry Cox and Dick Heckstall-Smith, while the 1994 material resurrects Little Boy Blue, co-written with John McLaughlin. Informative liner notes include recollections by Duffy himself. This release is a natural sequel to Leapers & Sleepers released last year, which amassed the Power catalog between 1962-1967 on Parlophone plus previously unreleased outtakes. A vital document of British blues and of one of the great British blues singers at his best.
