July 13, 2006 Air France Flt AF0006 class T from Paris to New York: This was a connecting flight from Venice, traveling with nine family members. It was without a doubt the worst airline experience we have ever had. Reservations made ten months in advance with a promise to seat us together. That did not happen even close! First flight was late. I don't even like to think about it after the torment we went through getting to the right gate. But the worst part of this flight was the seat. It is no wonder that Air France is the largest airline in the world in terms of revenue, They cram more people into the plane with no concern for their comort or welfare for a long 8 1/2 hour flight. The leg room had to be less than 6inches - I am over 6 foot feet tall, without going into detail, I have been in pain and under doctors care for thigh muscle and ligament problems, with extreme pain for two months. Doctors have informed me that this is not the first time they have heard of this on Air France and in fact they encouraged me to write this note. Needless to say, I will not be traveling on Air France again.
There should be a law concerning leg room on international (long) flights.
