All the staff at the Karbel Sun Hotel in Olu Deniz, Turkey were very friendly. The food in the pool area was really good. Although we did explore other restaurants in the evening, the food offered at the Karbel Sun was excellent. Our last meal was a Sunday roast, which included a Fire Dance. The roast dinner was exceptionally good. How does he cook his beef? It was melt in the mouth!! The rooms were cleaned every day, and we were satisfied with the cleanliness.

Although it has been upgraded recently, one of our beds creaked and creaked and creaked. We did complain, but it still creaked until the end of our holiday. The electricity would go off just when we wanted to use the hairdryer! The TV in the room showed mainly Turkish TV, when the electricity was on, and we also had BBC World, which wasn't very good.

On the whole though we had a fabulous holiday. The promise of bingo (which I only do on holiday) never materialised, shame. The Belly Dancer, Quiz Night (which we won) and Fire Dance were really good. If only the staff realised that putting on these activities each night would not only increase the restaurant sales but the bar sales too. Get Smirnoff Vodka and Schweppes slimline tonic.
