I received the Ferguson FRG-120D DAB Digital radio as a birthday present. Luckily my girlfriend kept the receipt so I could change it for a decent DAB radio. It looks nice enough, but the reason it was half price soon becomes apparent. If you keep it in the bedroom as an alarm clock the hum/buzz it makes in standby mode is very noisy, almost like having a fridge in the room. I thought powering it with batteries instead of mains may have kept the buzz down, but the 2700 mAh rechargeable batteries I loaded lasted just a few hours because the thing eats batteries alive in STANDBY mode! I only listened to the radio for 45 minutes, and the next thing I knew the batteries were dead. Spend a few extra notes and get something decent. This is junk.
