Good Points

Ready Brek is readily available throughout the UK, and is very affordable. The quick preparation time is fab and the product is packed with vitamins and minerals, the slow energy release qualities of Ready Brek is a fantastic choice for the kiddies with respect to setting them up for a long day at school.


Bad Points

Ready Brek is one of those products that people either love or loathe.


General Comments

Ready Brek is an oat-based breakfast cereal from the Weetabix stable. It was created by Mr Walter Pitts who worked for the J.Lyons and Co. Weetabix purchased the brand from Lyons in 1990. The product remains a winter favourite enjoyed traditionally by children. The product used to have the slogan "central heating for kids" and "get up and glow", depicting children walking to school with a dramatic radiant glow. The product in recent times was found to contain the lowest amount of added salt and sugar and is a great source of calcium. Ready Brek is now available in a chocolate variety together with the original recipe.
