Good Points

The location is in walking distance of many bars and restaurants, and near to the bus stop for the harbour area and Coral Bay. One restaurant in particular - turn right out of Land of Kings, past the petrol station - it is called Oliveto. Amazing stone-baked dining experience!


Bad Points

Over-crowded and dirty.
Poor customer service.
The 'kitchen' consisted of 2 hobs, one of which was broken and made our room smell of gas, so we couldn't cook in there, and Paphos is not the cheapest place to eat out!


General Comments

We were really disappointed with our 'apartment' at the Land of the Kings Hotel in Paphos, which was really just a basic hotel room. The sheets were stained and the whole place felt dirty. The maid made an occasional appearance (far too early in the morning), but in 10 days the only thing she did was empty the bin. We asked for a late check out and they said they couldn't tell us until the day we were checking out, and then when they agreed to it they wanted a further CYP£20! We paid the CYP£3 per night for the air conditioning, but it didn't make the room much cooler! There is plenty of accommodation in Paphos, surely there must be some that is a similar price but much nicer! OR... go to Polis/Latchi on the other side of the island. It is much more peaceful, and the sea and beaches are far better!!
