I have had my flute for 27 years now, had it serviced a couple of times, travelled by coach to Germany and France with it and taken it to America and back and the sound is still as clear as the day I bought it. The flute is well made and withstands a lot of battering. (Believe me its had quite a bit as I have had it since I was 9 and my daughter and niece have both played it.)
Can't think of any except the case doesn't have any handles so can be a bit difficult to carry when you have bags, etc.
My overall comment is that the Yamaha YFL221S Silver Closed Hole Flute is great for beginners to intermediate and when asked by people what flute I would recommend I would say a Yamaha any day.
