Villa Felicia in Serra De Mar was well positioned away from the Tourist areas, so it was quiet, so you will need a car. The villa was very clean, and a maid came 3 times each week, and the pool was cleaned regularly. The villa was set in lovely well maintained grounds. I recommend having the air conditioning for night times. The villa is in easy reach of the coast and all the big water parks - Aqualand is better for younger children as they allowed them do go on slides with an adult, unlike Slide and Splash. Beware of ear infections being caught at these parks. It is in easy reach of the mountains with some spectacular views. There are lots of restaurants within easy reach, but a local shop is only accessible by car.
Although the oven was poor with no grill, and the kitchen utensils were basic, and they could have done with providing some plastic boxes to store food, we had a lovely holiday. We booked flights and car hire through the villa company 'Villa World', and everything went really smoothly.
