Good Points

Traditional solid TAMA kit
Sounds warm but wet


Bad Points

Lacquer is quite delicate


General Comments

Overall the TAMA Starclassic Performa is an awesome drum kit. Don't bother with the Starclassic! Get the Performa! You will get far more for your money and it's still as custom as TAMA get, as you can pick and choose any shape, size and colour, drilled/un-drilled kick - anything really. Also look out for their hardware, as we all know TAMA are out there with GIBRALTAR when it comes to hardware, and the kit shows that with the die cast rims and solid lugs.
