The original car insurance quote from Sheilas Wheels was OK, and much in line with other insurers.

The call centre is based in Bangalore India. Whilst the operators are able to speak fairly good English and deal with straightforward quotes, their comprehension and understanding of anything that does not fit within a 'prepared script' is beyond them. They are unable to do anything else but repeat themselves from what appears to be 'autocue'!

I would never use an organisation again where the call centre is based outside of the UK, where although the operators may speak English, their comprehension, understanding and use of the language is sadly lacking. Why can't Sheila's Wheels, a company backed by Esure and therefore HBOS use a UK call centre and still remain competitive like their main rival Direct Line?
