General Comments

We had a great time at the Avlida Hotel in Paphos. I won't go into any details because I don't feel like typing. All I have to say is that some of our fellow Brits think that they should have a couple of slaves waiting on them hand and foot when they are on holiday. Well sorry, it's not like that anywhere.

I expected no table service of any sort, and substandard accommodation like they do in a lot of AI's, and I was surprised to find out it wasn't like that at all. The waitresses brought us doubles and large portions without even asking, and that's what I call service. And talk about value for money... We met a couple that stayed in a 3 star, paid more and had to get up and get their own drinks from the bar. We did not expect the mini bar items to be free of charge. Why should they be? Does anyone expect the souvenir shop stuff to be free just because they're sold in the hotel?

Overall, we had a great holiday here. The entertainment felt a bit repetitive after a week, but it was still amusing. We recommend the Avlida; it's probably the best AI place we have stayed, and we will seriously consider staying there again if we go back to Pathos.
