General Comments

I'd first like to thank motorola for bringing this wonderful invention to the world. With that being said, i'd want to say that the v60i is a real good quality phone. I used to have the samsung T-100, but it is absolutly NOTHING compared to this "color phone beater". I say this because i've tried many phones such as 7210, 7250, 6100 ...all nokia color screens... and not to forget mentioning the T-100 color from samsung.

Lets get straight to the point, although many ppl have said that this phone is heavy, they do not consider each and every function that the phone provides, overall, v60i provides nearly over 100 usefull functions. Now honestly you cant really say the weight is for nothing! because the weight is simply a compilation of logic gates and circuit boards too complex for most of us to understand, but understand this, No call drops, i had a numerous occations where i got 3/5 bars of reception going through train tunnels between town hall to wynard (Network Search -> frequency of search) and the very second i got out of the tunnels i had full reception. A lot of people had looked at me and was stunned when i was talking through wynard and townhall. I guess this pretty much prooves the reception quality. Volume and voice, just about as clear as you can get when you talk on the phone, imagine most background noise blocked and most you will hear is the person talking to you... and also, you may have 1 min of voice recording (Useful if u forget when and where to meet your girlfriend!!). Easy to customise!!

You honestly think only Nokia can have their Express cover?? well think again!! V60i gives you the freedom to choose your color for the day with their own snap on covers (No need to worry if you scratch the phone again!) Its a 5 second job!!!! and im not bluffing!! its even easier to snap on than the NOKIA 8250 where you have to dig your nails in... V60i just requires you to press a little button hidden from normal view. (original colors covers: Smoke Silver, Gold, Navy Blue and Red)

I didnt read the part where V60i had the ability to play MP3 before i bought the phone, a supprise from motorola! and even more... you think only the T-720 has MotoGP?? Think yet AGAIN!!.. the V60i has excatly the same game under JavaApps... and not under games... games provide you with about 5 games... and javaApps provide you with 3 extra better games... check it out if u have the phone...(Read the menu!! for those who say this phone is garbage) ALSO, packed with this little beast is a radio.

Security, about as much security as you can get no bluffing.. you can manually lock most applications ie. phonebook, quick dial, messages (Good so my friends cant read what i say to my girl friend)voice recording and everything on the menu of your phone... V60i will also require you to enter a 4 digit unlock code everytime you turn on if u enable the option "phone lock" but application lock is the most useful to me because too many friends at school ask me to let them play with my phone... how can you blame them from asking??

There is also a function called cell broadcast... for all those nokia users who complain motorola dont "SHOW" where you are.... well guess yet again.. message->cell broadcast->ON use channel 050 and quickview channel 050.... wait for 30sec or more... and VOILA !! hmm... says who v60 dont tell u where you are... (also same with the other models of motorla up to StarTac series) ... another point is .. who says v60i dont have alot of rintones?? 54embedded and 54 for you to either download or compose?????? my goodness isnt 108 enough for you ?? and for those who complain about nokia only letting you have 5 or 6 slots for you to compose... here is your solution...

More to that is the animated pictures, and how you can attach these animes to your sms... and also attach sounds ... now who told you only icq can have animated greeting cards?? hmm... v60i icq?? YES.. no bluffing !! there is a function called "CHAT" well... if not like icq... then like what?? so.. there is icq on a motorola phone afterall.

i really like the function where you can turn off the back light... this saves me battery at day time... i dont need backlight at day time because the v60i provides sufficient clearness with its Optimax display, no matter what angle you look at it, its always CLEAR. When was the last time you see nokia have a OPTIMAX display phone?

Also, the alarm is already fixed in V60i, you can tell it to ring on the dot just like you could with a Nokia, the only setback is that this feature will not work if you turn off the phone, it will not self turn on like nokia. (a good and very good point to nokia phones) lets get on to another blasting aspect, if you want your phone to have a menu according to your own desires, you can program the main menu.. yes.. if u want phone book to be first and settings to be second... you can just grab and drop the item as you would on your home computer... as easy as cut and paste (settings->other settings->personalise->main menu)

A lot of people say Nokia has easy to use interface and how it is good... i say they are just beginners, motorola have really good phones and although the menu is "less" user friendly as the nokia phones, it has the professionalism, the quality, if you can be bothered to read the menu, you will understand how the phone operates.

i've just described the very basics of what v60i can do, others such as WAP, Car settings, headset, datebooks and appointments etc... are yet another huge list of features that you can play around with. With no harm and no offence to Nokia and its fans, i would like you to RESPECT Motorola's finest technology, the V60i lives up to every word of Motorola's moto "Intelligence Everywhere".

I have used StarTac, StarTac X, V3688, V3688+, V8088, V8088+ then onto its new strands V66, and V60.... all these older models are all good but the V60i really brings out the shine... to me alone, i believe V60i would literaly win over any nokia phones and samsung phones out at the momment including the colored models... just because v60i is mono-chrome, it does mean that it is garbage, it is real quality. I remember the salesman told me that V60i was released to fight the nokia 8850, well i would like to say this (after using my father's 8850) 8850 has NO CHANCE to beat the original V60, yet the v60i... beacuse V60i has everything u have in a 8850 and plus just about 50 to 60 things more than what you can do with the 8850.... and at the moment its only $450 .... why not give this phone a try??

Finally i would like to say that Intelligence is everywhere, if you can be bothered to read the menu. Motorola has definatly made a classic with the v60i... I always wanted a Nokia crossed with a motorola... now i have it :P...
