Good Points

Cheap cars now, parts are readily available, quite powerful due to light weight-don't get me wrong its no sports car but there are much worse cars out there!! Mot niggling faults can be corrected with simple adjustment.


Bad Points

A lot of worn out ones around, look for one thats not been owned by a nutter!! One thats been used as a family car is always best. The ride is no match for a Rover 200/400 which is similarly priced, interior is similarly inferior.


General Comments

Generally a very good all-rounder as a cheap car. Cheap to run for a 1.8, can top 45MPG on a constant 70MPH run, practical, very cheap to buy now, and they do everything a car is required to do relatively easily. I would recommend not paying much as there are more recently designed cars of a similar age that are much better. A Rover 216I will offer nearly as much power with a much better ride, but not quite so reliable if not maintained properly.
