Good Points

feels safe, looks great, starts every time, easy to ride, easy to park.


Bad Points

50cc is too slow for London, it's one thirsty bike - get ready for many fill-ups.


General Comments

I have had the LX50 for two weeks now and what can I say? I love it! It's really stylish and has a very comfortable ride. Added to that it's a very attractive bike. I've had strangers comment on the looks of it, which may have something to do with the all the chrome design I've added to it!. Have to say though, that if you are a serious commuter, DO NOT go for the 50cc model. I live in London ( commute 18 miles daily ) and it is simply too slow. You will be revving for dear life as articulated lorrys and VW Golf drivers attempt to bully you off the road. I've had to pull over several times for fear of getting killed. That said, You can get the bike de-restricted and this will add a bit of extra oomph to it - about 10 or so more MPH. The only other issue is the fuel consumption; on a 5 day commute, I fill up to max twice and the indictor seems to go down much quicker after the halfway mark ( If that makes any sense). Other than that, I can't really fault the machine. Yeah, it's pricey but you are getting a Vespa and Vespas as you know are very, very cool!. So buy one, enjoy it and wave when you see me on the road!
