Bad Points
We camped on the slopping field, and although we found a pitch at the top of it, it still got a bit annoying when everything kept falling over. The site is also very close to main roads, so it is extremely noisy at night. That was the biggest problem. The facilities are a bit dated, but generally clean, although it could do with a good scrub (cobwebs all over ceiling). The Caravans on the site are unloved and dirty looking, and the lake looked stagnant.
General Comments
If the Holme Valley camping and caravan park in Holmfirth wasn't so close to the main road, I would definitely recommend this site, as you can deal with slopping a field etc, but it was just too noisy!
