General Comments

I bought this Philips DTR200 box about 8 months ago, but only started using it regularly recently.

The box looks OK, has a nice remote control and was easy to set up.

After a few channel changes the box freezes and does not respond to the remote control. This happens repeatedly and can only be cleared by unplugging the mains. Doing this 7 or 8 times during the course of a few hours viewing gets very wearing!

Sometimes there is a picture with no sound, and then (just for variety) at other times there is sound but no picture.

On the rare occasions when this STB is working reasonably well, the long pause between changing channels is nerve wracking.

So don't buy a Philips DTR200.
