General Comments

Bought a Crosman Walther P99 Spring Pistol to add to my large-ish airsoft collection, and ultimately gave to my parents to scare pigeons and squirrels from their bird-feeder. Adequately accurate for a cheap-ish BB gun, nice to hold and shoot, good-looking. The "hop-up" on mine seemed to be a bit over-enthusiastic, and sent BB's vertically upwards when shooting at any distance greater than 30 feet. All-in-all, a good toy for short-range plinking and tin-can splatting but not a serious enthusiast's bit of kit.

    What are you talking about?
The gun is very heavy. All you need to do is use .2 g bbs with the gun and the hop up will make the bbs fly straight and true for at least 15 meters.

Obviously when I said "vertically" I didn't mean it literally as that is a physical impossibility, I was just implying that 95% of my shots end up going considerably higher than intended. I have been using 0.2g BBs as you suggest, so maybe this is a fault with my gun as opposed to an inherent design flaw, I was merely saying it like I see it.

my regrets Mr. Wilson, that you have a retarded gun.

    :-)

I assume that this isn't something that can be adjusted? I didn't pay that much for it and it's out of warranty now :-(

All my other guns have been pretty accurate straight out of the box.

Yeah. Word has it that Crossman is redesigning the walther P99 so it won't suck so much. They'll keep the body the same so it can remaine a repleca but the insides will be upgraded.
