Desserts were acceptable.
Bad Points
Two of the five ordered dishes were sent back! The 'large bowl of mussels' was ordered for main course but in fact it was a soup bowl of very small inferior quality mussels, only a single layer deep and stone cold, as I demonstrated to the waitress by grabbing a handful. Another table sent back a similar dish.
General Comments
My wife and I have been on holiday for a week and as we had not gone away, we have made a point of eating out, trying a different restaurant every evening. This evening at Cafe Uno was our eighth meal of the holiday and earned the distinction of being the only source of any dissatisfaction, the only restaurant where I refused to leave my usual generous gratuity and the only restaurant where I left still feeling hungry!! One of the dishes sent back was my wife's dessert. We asked the waitress if the listed chocolate ice cream could be substituted with vanilla as my wife has 'a problem' with any form of chocolate, which the waitress noted on the order. When the dessert arrived, the vanilla ice cream was there okay, but so was the chocolate sauce covering it!!
