Good Points

It has reasonable looks. The screen quality is good. I do like the voice activated dialing, when it works.

Bad Points

The phone just locks up too much. Battery life is also poor - less than two days with minimal (and I do mean minimal) use. Be prepared to charge every night.

General Comments

I got this Motorola V3X as a free upgrade. I'm just glad I did not pay out money for it. Whenever a new contact is stored from a received call it locks the contacts and the voice dialing, with the only option being to find the offending entry and delete it from your contacts. If this was the only time it locks it would be merely an annoyance, but use the PC software to enter or amend your contacts and you appear to have a 50-50 chance of locking the contacts and all functions dependent upon the contacts. I have read that the locking may be because certain networks mess with the basic setup before sending them out and this may be true because I can't believe Motorola would release such a flaky piece of software. Oh, and reception is poor. I can go from strong signal strength to nothing without even moving. Using Bluetooth seems, for I know not why, to make reception even flakier. Also to my mind, a phone that is showing full signal strength but then texts you to say you missed a call when the thing never even rang, is not much of a phone. It is a shame because there are some nice features on the unit, but it just doesn't pass the "Cuprinol" test. It doesn't do what it says on the tin!
