Good Points

Ooh look, it's doesn't have a bag! Yes, that seemed great at the time.

Seems a bit fragile


General Comments

In the five years that I have had this Dyson I have replaced the following parts - the wand, the hose, the clutch, the soleplate, the motor, the filter above the motor (which went black after the motor failed), the beater bar, the hose again, the motor again, the seal on the bit inside the plastic bin, the knob on top of the power switch (which admittedly I broke after trying to dismantle it) and...I think that's it.
If that wasn't enough it is now very noisy and seems to get heavier each time I lug it up and down the stairs. That's maybe because I am getting weaker or it may be because I deeply resent the money I have wasted on it - and that makes it seem more of a burden.
Whatever, when I think of the 15 years of trouble free use I got from the very basic Electrolux I had before it I get quite frustrated.
