I give my full recommendation for the Bushmaster XM-15. It is a quality rifle!
16" M4 barrel profile, great quality and well made. 100% percent reliability in 600+ rounds (all brass casings, no wolf). I have tried 5 or 6 brands of ammo, and I have had absolutely no problems with this rifle. Accuracy is superior to what I can do with it. As said by others, just get some quality GI mags, and they will work fine for you.
It is a little on the pricey side compared to some other brands, but given that it's made with the highest quality barrel steel available and great quality control, you get what you pay for. Also, it's getting expensive to shoot it, but you can't blame that on the gun!
