Magners Original is the new trendy drink, I actually rather like it. It's always served in a pint glass with lots of ice so it nice and cold which is a bonus at the moment. It's also not too strong in taste or sharp as some ciders do tend to be. I find most people like this and are surprised it's not like cider usually tastes!

on 30th Jan 2007I have to disagree guys. I find Magners Original cider to be over-hyped and over-priced. It is marketed very well though, and it tastes OK, but it's nothing special. The ice in the glass is just a gimmick. If the fridge is cold enough then so is the drink. It's about 70p more than a pint of draught cider in my local, and I just don't feel that kind of price difference is reflected in the quality of Magners.

I totally agree it’s a really refreshing drink and doesn’t have that "sting" after the first taste like other ciders tend to do. It’s really easy to drink and over ice like you said...perfect!
