Akkarin01's Review of Christopher Paolini, Eragon: Inheritance, Book I
6th Aug 2006
Overall Rating
- Value for money

The story is engaging and the characters believable, it has all the major elements of a good story
Bad Points
The story seems somehow unoriginal, some of the characters seem to have been based on characters from lord of the rings, for example the elves seem very much like the elves from LOTR, a better example would be the place Tronjheimis very like the mines of moria.
General Comments
Although the story is slightly unoriginal in itself it is very good, you can connect with the characters, there is no fault with the story except its references to Lord of the Rings. I would recommend this book and its sequel Eldest.
