Good Points

Helpful staff.
Good value for money.
Good food.
Close to Lindos.
Got exactly what was promised. A clean, friendly 5* resort.

Bad Points

Trying to get a sunbed that does not have a towel that has been put on it (but that's always a problem.)


General Comments

Myself, my wife and my 15 year old son went on holiday to the Rodos Maris Hotel. We read as many reviews about it as we could find (many were bad), and we were really worried, but DON'T WORRY. Every bad point that we had read in the reviews was the complete opposite to what this great holiday resort is like. In fact, we have stayed in many places in the world, and this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, and I think that the overall holiday was the best we have ever had. We are so glad we didn't cancel our holiday because of the bad reviews we read.

This Hotel has two restaurants. The first one is the buffet style, which provides you with a range of 14 salads, 10 main courses and 12 desserts, and the other restaurant serves good food, but you will have to book a day in advance at reception. Both restaurants have waiters and waitresses that were very efficient.

The Hotel is good quality and very clean, and in your very clean room there is a mini bar which is stocked every other day as promised, and the room and the hotel is far better than most.

The staff work very hard, and reception staff are very friendly. In the hotel there is a good range of activities and a spa that my wife went to on the last day of our holiday, and she told me that the experience and treatment was very good.

If you an independent traveller (not going as a package holiday) I suggest you make the effort to email the hotel directly and make any requests/requirements in advance.

I also suggest that you pre-book your taxi to the hotel (about a 1 hour drive from the airport) because it is hard to get a taxi that is not pre-booked when you arrive.

We liked this very good value 5* hotel so much that we have recommended it to friends and family, and I am planning to go again next year with my wife and son.
