Good Points

Air conditioning in the apartment
Spacious and roomy
Cleaned 8 days out of 10
Excellent grassed and wooded areas for sunbathing away from the pools
Gardens watered and cut almost every day
Three pools, so plenty of choice for the kids

Bad Points

The walkways around the pools and grounds were quite slippy when wet
The beach at Cala Egos (the nearest within walking distance) was very small, very crowded and not particularly clean. Two sunbeds and a brolly also cost an arm and a leg.

General Comments

We had a great 10 days at the Puerto Del Sol Aparthotel in Cala D'or. We went self catering, and as such, we can not complain one bit about the food, as we chose our own venues and what we ate! Managed to keep two adults, two picky teenagers and a 6 year old who eats like a sparrow, all sufficiently well fed. All inclusive people we met did complain about the food, but they kept eating it; after all it had been paid for! I can never understand why people on all inclusive expect to get top quality food and drink when they have the remit to eat and drink as much of it as they can - the hotel would never make money!

The marina is great, with some excellent restaurants, and Churchills in particular was a favourite of ours. The guys were always welcoming, and the food was varied and good quality. Go once and you will go again.
The boats were pretty spectacular in the marina, and the walk round was good exercise for walking off the evening meal.
Taxi's were easy to get, and at 4.50 Euros from the hotel to town, they were good value.

Ratings given for food at 5 as we didn't eat it, so I have to sit on the fence on that one. Value for money - I am a Yorkshire man - nothing is worth what you have to pay for it! This is a gripe at the increased costs during the school holidays.

I would definitely go again, but I would have to insist on air conditioning, as it was too hot without it.
