Good Points

You really feel welcome in the Hotel Don Carlos in San Jose. It is like a little island of peace and quiet in the middle of a large city, and you are close to everything. You can walk everywhere you need to, and there is always a taxi nearby.


Bad Points

You may at first feel uneasy about the area, but after you have walked around you will get comfortable. Just treat it like you would any large city in an area that you have never been to before.


General Comments

It was my first time in San Jose and I stayed in the Holiday Inn. It was so sterile and like every other Holiday Inn. The Hotel Don Carlos is just a couple of blocks away, and it is so much more! It has texture, history, paintings, flavour and it also has location. It's a must on any Costa Rica holiday.
