Good Points

On sales they are very helpful. On initial claim they are very helpful. Large booklet issued at start, summary booklets later. Now six years on. Summary booklets have limited information.

Bad Points

Claim: Would you believe that TSB have suggested that a brand new kitchen damaged by water on one side will only have that side replaced, even if the units don't match!! What kind of insurance is that? Imagine a lovely new property with two halves of a kitchen that don't match! I have never heard anything so ridiculous in my life!

General Comments

Lloyds TSB home insurance have had six years of my money and I have never made a claim. I needed them once, and I am told that comprehensive, accidental damage cover is not quite as comprehensive as I thought. Let's hope for a re-think on their part, and I'll quickly amend my review!

This happened to me 10 years ago.
Insurance will only replace what is damaged. i.e. only the damaged unit.
They dont seem to care about the rest of the kitchen or what it looks like!
My kitchen was so old I had a have a unit especially made which they paid for. however this cost more than a complete new kitchen would have. (had a very small galley kitchen lit. 3 units and 3 wall units)

Its because come people milk the system and honest people have to suffer.

Get really who in their right mind is going to replace something that is fine. Its like buying two new cars that match in colour, you crash one and would expect the car insurance company to replace the other because they no longer match! Same applies to home insurance.
