Good Points

First Alternative are very good at selling car insurance policies on the web, and they appear to offer value for money - provided you never need to make a claim.


Bad Points

Their claims department is awful and offers very poor service indeed.


General Comments

First Alternative offers car insurance for quality cars, but their claims department offers a non-quality service. The quality of their staff is highly variable. Their communications, both externally and inside the company are poor to non-existent, leading to unnecessary delays in settling claims. In all my dealings with them they have offered excuses for poor performance, but never a word of apology.
