Not a lot.

Bad Points
No real insight into her life.

General Comments
This book is supposed to give us an insight into Katie price/Jordan's life. The only real insight in to her life is all the men she has had and a bit about modelling. Anybody who reads the papers will know about Jordan and her famous lifestyle. She is now married to Peter Andre and has another baby. Jordan has another son by a footballer who has a lot of medical problems and is blind. I really feel for him, he is so cute. I don't think though that it's right to sell her story about her son Harvey and his problems, this is something I know I never could dream about doing.

The book starts off with her family. Katie Say's she has been called all sorts of names like a man-eater and a freak. You really can see why. On the first page Katie say's modelling is my job but there is more to me then that. Well reading from this book you can't really tell. Katie's mum who is now Harvey's nanny gave her job up to do this, her brother does Jordan's web site and that's about it for her family, her step dad who she thinks of as her real dad and her step sister. Reading the book though you do find out that Katie/Jordan has had a lot of problems with men from the age of three. Her real dad walked out on them and never came back. Katie/Jordan has never met him since. His name was Ray Infield and he met Amy, Katie's mum, at school. The time he was there he did not make much off an effort with Katie as he did with her brother Daniel. They did father and son things together. That's probably why Katie / Jordan craves attention from men who knows. Katie grew up in Brighton UK and most of her family are from there also.

The book then moves swiftly on missing most of her teens out. I did say there was not much insight into her life. Jordan / Katie has always been a bit of an exhibitionist. She quotes " I love showing off " you could never tell. Now we are going to find out about how she became a model. At the age of 11 Katie enrolled in modelling school and got her first job when she was oh it does not actually say when she did get her first modelling job. Katie started out dong catwalk modelling with a Tina turner hairstyle. When Katie was 13 she started modelling for Joe bloggs jeans and t-shirts. Then she got a call from the photographer and said to her mum that she should get her a portfolio done. At this point he was to be trusted. The bloke though was a well-known paedophile and was selling the photos of Katie on to others.

Katie's first love.

Was a man called Jeff that she moved in with and lost her virginity to. Her mother was not pleased with this but they carried on anyway. It turned out that he was nasty piece of work. There is about 2 chapters on this on the book goes on a bit. Then the other men that have been in Katie's life are Dane Bowers, Eddie Jordan, Ace and a few others.

The surgery how it all started.

Every one told her not to have the surgery but she went a head with it anyway. Though she had it 4 times i think all in all. First came the big boobs. Not sure what size but think they are an FF or something like that. She could not actually afford her first boob job a paper paid for them and in return she would do the her first topless shots for them, I think. Jordan has always wanted bigger breast from at school and boy she got them. I do admire her because what she wants by the sounds of it she gets. Since having her boob jobs she has done no end of top less modelling and this is what has made her Jordan / Katie today. It did not stop there however since having her boobs done Katie has now had Lip o suction where she had all the fat sucked out of her legs and bum. Nose job and wrinkles removed and more besides. Who can blame the girl really all the money Katie has made from her modelling and selling her stores it penny's to her I suppose. There is talk now though that she is giving up the modelling and having a breast reduction god Katie will look funny but on the other hand normal.

Single mum.

Since Katie found out she was pregnant with Harvey. Dwight dumped her and did not want to know. Katie has brought up Harvey on her on I think for about year and a half before meeting peter in the reality TV show, I'm a celebrity. Harvey has many problems with his health and just recently has being in hospital again for 3 weeks before her and peter got married. The main problem is he is blind. If any of you have seen a picture of Harvey then you will also now he is a very big boy and he is on 3. Harvey weighs 5 and half stone and has a lot of weight problems although he does not eat a lot. I have to admire Katie for that I don't think I could manage with Harvey on my own. My daughter is half deaf and I know I need the support of my husband.

Jungle.

This is when Katie went into the jungle on I'm a celebrity get me out of here. This is of course where Katie met her husband Peter Andre. They played a very clever game though. Katie never showed her true feelings toward peter until she got kicked out from the jungle. Everybody thought that this was a publicity job. Katie and Peter though proved everybody wrong and got married in September of this year and had a baby boy in July.

This book has got some photo's of Katie's life in and her boyfriends, there are not many to look at though.

Where to buy the book.

Well you can buy this book from any where and it's very cheap. I brought this book for 1p from world books and that was to much in my opinion. WH Smith have this in and I think it's about £12.99 but do not pay that as this book is a load of rubbish borrow it from somebody and save your money.

Overall.

This is one of the worst books on somebody I have ever read. This book offers no real insight into Katie / Jordan's life before she came a model or after. 272 pages on the most bites about her life she could of wrote on about 10. Very disappointing read in my opinion.

Thank you Emily!

Each to the own about a review of this book however I think its a bit harsh to claim the book had to be made simple for her to read...i doubt there is anyone out there who would want to read a autobiography full of complex language and grammar...shes a glamour model and an incredibly successful one at that not a Oxford graduate.
As for there not being enough insight into her life, are we now to expect a graphic day by day account of celebrities lifes? The book focuses on the number of experiences that have made her a stronger person and the Katie Price she is today, and although is apparently ghost-written (has this been verified?) is frank and up front and reads as if Katie/Jordan is speaking directly to the reader.

Yes the book doesnt need you to think very much about the subtleties of the language (trust me I know I do English at Uni) but is instead an compelling read about a ordinary girl who has worked her whole life to get what she wants.
The book may not leave you with a headache, more of a feeling of admiration for Katie Price for being a brilliant role model for young girls: hardworking, determined and honest unlike some so called celebrities...

But again each to their own...and I'm sure she isn't particularly worried about some comments and is indeed laughing all the way to the bank :)

Thanks
Vicky

This book helped us understand the real Katie Price. Yes she has been dependent on men for most of her life, but this is because of the way she is! The way she deals with each experience tells us more about her than we could hope for. She does sometimes express things a little to graphically at times, with her comments on mens sexual abilities and sizes etc, but this is Katie, the well known, out spoken glamour model that we all know and love! If she had held back in this book, it wouldn't have been half as good. I felt like I could trust every word Katie said in this book, and read it within a day! I think she is fantastic and doesn't deserve the backlash and criticism she receives so often. She has coped with much more then most people could have in her circumstances and we all should have the up-most respect for her for that.

"...... this book is a load of rubbish....."

Well, that's what sells these days!! In WW2 years, it would have been cut up and hung on a nail in a certain small room.
