smathai's Review of Michelin Pilot Power Motorcycle Tyre

Good Points

Very sticky
Geometry gives bike increased flick-ability
Keeps the same grip level through the entire life of the tire (tested at a track day with almost zero rubber left)
Works awesome in the rain (tried this at a rainy track day, obtained lean angles similar to my dry runs - but back then I wasn't as fast as I am now)

Bad Points

For those who like mileage my rear tire consistently does 3000 miles absolute tops. I've started doing long sport touring trips, fully loaded, and these tires can only manage the round trip. Expensive for a weekend get-away. It's the price I pay to drag knee worry-free (as far as tires go) in canyon roads with a tent, sleeping bag, and other stuff hanging off the back.

General Comments

Michelin Pilot Power tyres are great for entry level and (so far) mid-level track day riders. I'm now a solid B group rider taking both the front and rear tires absolutely to the edge. Not a single sign of slippage so far, even in hell-hot 140 F weather at Thunderhill. These 'may' have to be replaced if I ever achieve faster corner speeds.
In the canyons they also stick like glue.
Do you want something that can last longer than 3000 miles down the center for commuting? These aren't going to cut it.
