Good Points

Spotless. Bins were emptied constantly.
Staff very friendly.
Clean rooms, although cramped for 5.
Towels either daily or every other day.
Drinks plentiful.
Food basic but well cooked.
Excellent for the children.

Bad Points

We had to hire two fans as it was very hot with no air conditioning, and the air conditioning is not cheap to hire.
No information from tour company available.
The pool got very murky in the second week, but it was cleaned daily.
You need to be careful walking around the hotel, as some people dripped water on the marble floors and they got very slippy.
Good poolside activities, with two extremely happy staff, but the evening entertainment was poor.
The layout of the evening bar area was bad, as we had to walk through this to get to the bar.

General Comments

Overall, the Club Gran Playa Hotel in Majorca was brilliant. It did get a bit boring in the second week, but we hired a car to get out. The picnics provided if you were going out were very limited. It would be easier to go to the supermarket and get your own. The rush for the sunbeds when the doors opened at 8am was hysterical. We thought it amusing, but some people got annoyed. If you want entertainment, this is not the hotel to go to. The staff were brilliant, and they could all speak some English and German. We found out towards the end of our holiday that it would have been cheaper to buy two fans from the local hypermarket and leave them behind!

The resort was great, and everything was within walking distance with good buses to nearby resorts.

Our only criticism was of the tour company Medinland. They were great on the initial booking, but we did not get a good response from customer service. No information was provided in the hotel by them, but all other companies provided information though.
