Good Points
A must see program
Bad Points
Seems 'staged' at times.
General Comments
Watching the greedy be humiliated gets boring when they all walk away with nothing due to their greed. If I were on the show I would pull out as soon as possible.
The first series is over for Deal or No Deal? Channel 4's latest hit show starring Noel Edmonds is a must see. Produced by Endemol makers of Big Brother it has no intellectual content all. 22 boxes each have a card in them with a sum of money printed on it from 1p to £250,000. It is the job of the contestant to open the boxes one at a time they keep the amount that the last box holds but with a twist. A Banker phones up and offers the contestant a get out clause an amount of money that is a way the banker can hedge his bets offer a smaller amount than the highest amount still in play and hope the contestant takes it an in doing so save the Banker a bit of money.
It is simple but greed rears its ugly head and even after being offered £20,000 players play on even if the odds are only 1 in 10 of getting a 1/4 of a million they will play on often loosing all and going away with a penny. 6 players have so walked off with a penny in utter humiliation as not every one feels sorry for them! No one has won 1/4 of a million even so it is a good day's work for some with £75,000 being the most I have seen won.
If I were on the show I would pull out as soon as possible. A £20,000 offer buy the Banker is all I need!
