    To much spam and advertisements

    General Comments

I have been with Mail.com for over three years. Every day have received 20 spam; e-mail into my inbox. These have been mostly from Nigeria asking for help to reclaim monies lost in power struggles never reply too them they are a racket. I tried to delete my account but could not once set up it can not be deleted.

Recently I received an e-mail from America telling me my credit card had been debited hundreds of dollars by some one whom bought a camera in the US. If I wanted the sale cancelled I needed to input my credit card details onto the computer! This is another scam never reply. The more obvious it is the more you should be wary.

The features of this email site included advertising pop ups when you look at your e mails right in your face stuff all very annoying then; if like me advertising holds no interest to you having adverts in your face every time an e-mail is looked at.

Features are few normally I want to just delete my e-mail only 20 can be deleted at a time a days worth of spam so once after not looking for six months I had to spend all after noon looking through and deleting mail.

I was attracted to this service by the domain name, the domain is what ever you want to add to @myself.com, others available include earthling.net, mindless.com, mad.scientist.com, cheerful.com. It is an easy sign up needing only the usual form of a name, address, date of birth, name of mother's father etc.

Features on the site main e mail page include Delete, Move to, Report Spam, Flag/Un flag, simple stuff. If you click on the subject of the email, you are taken to the email content useful things as: Flag, Reply, Reply all, Forward, Delete, Move to, Previous/Next, Printable version. You have a mail.com save address and block sender for spam which is laborious to use and ineffective as these people change the address every time they send something.

An address book a search advertisers feature and calendar which can be used to note appointments are included as features.
E cards are available and a few games.

Overall keep away unless you like pop up ads in your face and spam from notorious criminal gangs blocking up your in box. I prefer lycos and bt.co.uk myself.
