Good Points

Boots Botanics is advertised as a natural product, and it certainly did no harm to my hair. The conditioning mask left it feeling thick and healthy. I only used the semi-permanent as I didn't want dramatic results, and I simply wanted to dull down brassy bleached areas of hair (the product was suitable for bleached hair). The dye did not have a blue tinge as some others do, and this can sometimes grab on poorly conditioned hair to leave it purple, so I was very pleased that didn't happen!

Bad Points

The colourant had little, if any effect at all! I left it on for the recommended maximum time of 20 minutes, yet it had no result on either the lighter or natural (mousy brown) areas of my hair.

General Comments

I used Botanics Hair Colour as an experiment, and I compared it to other semi-permanents (Boots own and Loreal etc.). It had little, if any result. It may be a safe option for first-time users or those who want a very subtle semi-permanent result, but considering it was the same price as other leading brands, I'll probably use one of those next time!
