Good Points

Super camera with amazing depth and resolution for a 1.3 mega-pixel. Maximum resolution is 1280 x 1024, which is perfect for taking pictures for computer wallpaper. It has some nice features, like night-mode and portrait, and the video quality is excellent.

Beautiful sound reproduction through the in-built speaker, which does not distort at all when turned to full volume. Brilliant sound quality through the supplied headphones as well.

Lovely bright, large, vivid screen with no pixelated effects anywhere like other colour screen mobiles.

Fits in your hand lovely, and it makes texting a breeze.

Bad Points

I've had the phone all this time, and there's nothing I have found that I don't like!

General Comments

Nokia have always been one of the most popular brands of mobile phones sold today, and they still are! The Nokia 6230i shows what a mobile phone should really be like.

I have owned the phone for 11 months now, and I am not thinking about upgrading it because this phone is just incredible!!

The moment I took it out of the box, I notices the sleek design and how comfortably it fit in my hand. The first thing I just had to try was the camera, as I had heard so many good things about it. As soon as the live image came up on the screen I was amazed! There was absolutely no lag in movement, and the image just flows as you move the phone about. When I took my first picture, I instantly uploaded it onto my computer and set the image as my wallpaper (my screen is set to 1280 x 1024), and the image size was the same. It looked so clear, and not one part was wrong - no pixelated pictures.

While the 32Mb memory card was in my PC I decided to put some music and pictures onto it. I played back the music on my phone, and I was blown away by the beautifully clear sound reproduction. While I was doing this, I stumbled across the MP3 player. This shocked me even more, as it is the first phone I have seen where you can play some music in the background while texting, viewing your pictures or just admiring your wallpaper. Also, if you like to listen to music on the go and don't want it blaring out down the high street, you can use the supplied headphones. Or, Nokia now do an adapter to change the Nokia's Pop Port to a 3.5mm jack plug, so you can use your own headphones!

When I was browsing through my pictures, I noticed how easy the files were to navigate through. There's no more Images go to the pictures folder. You can put files in any folder you want, eg. you can put your music into your pictures folder and still play it from there. This is especially handy, as I can also make new folders within the main ones, so I can navigate my music as I would on my PC, with all the albums in different folders, and also have the album art in a music folder.

Also, while I'm talking about files. I also like the fact that this phone stores the files sent to it by bluetooth, even if it's not compatible with the phone. So if a friend wants to send you a computer program or Windows Media video to try out when you get home, the phone will easily store .exe .zip .avi .wmv, anything. Most phones just reject the file sent to it if it's not compatible.

I do a lot of business too, and the organiser features couldn't be easier to use. Take the calendar for example; you just select a date, write your to do list and save. It's that simple! There is a program for taking notes as well. This is handy for remembering long websites, and there is no more writing notes in a text and saving as a draft!

And now for one of the best features... Text messaging... What? I hear you say!! The text messaging is just so easy because of the keypad. It is the perfect shape and size to make texting a breeze. I use my phone mostly for sending text messages, and this is the best phone for I have ever used for texting, and I have had many phones.

Contacts are stored nicely too, and the are easy to navigate through. You can assign individual ringtones to people as well as pictures. Oh, and it has voice activated dialing too.

Ahh, now, the battery life... I have read lots of reviews and heard lots of stories of the battery life being very short. Well, I have to say that they're wrong! People probably don't read the instruction guide and don't know how long the first charge should be. The first charge is the most important, and it is vital that you charge it for the time stated in the book (in this case, 12 hours). The first charge calibrates the battery to get it working to its full potential, and my phone lasts for up to 5 days with general use, and up to 4 days with hard use, and the charge time (faster than the first charge) is only about 4 to 5 hours to fully charge it. It is very handy if your battery is flat and you need a phone at short notice!

Overall, The 6230i is an excellent little phone, that is absolutely jam packed with useful features, including a very good digital camera, a nice screen and sound reproduction.

This phone is 101% recommended for anyone who texts, listens to music, or just makes a lot of calls or likes mobile games and cool features, such as photo editor etc. I am going to stick with T-Mobile and this phone, and I am not going to upgrade this year, as this phone is the best I have used by far.

10/10 and recommended for everyone!
